To help filter out as much spam as possible, Robokiller analyzes most incoming calls. When calls are determined to not be spam, Robokiller attempts to connect that call to you.
When there is a problem connecting the call, you may receive one of the following messages:
"Robokiller received a call from +1XXXXXXXXXX but the app was unreachable. Open the app to see details about this call."
"Robokiller received a call from +1XXXXXXXXXX but the app was uninstalled. If you want to stop using Robokiller, disable call forwarding by calling ##004#"
Robokiller received a call but the app was unreachable
If you’ve received a text message like this, it means that Robokiller attempted to connect the call back to you, but was unsuccessful.
This can happen for a number of reasons, including poor cell service, or that the device was turned off or in Airplane mode.
To ensure that Robokiller is properly configured and that these calls can reach you, please follow these steps:
- Make sure the Robokiller app is updated.
- Go through the app’s Troubleshooting guide. To find it in the app, tap the Account tab > Troubleshooting > tap “Start Troubleshooting”.
- If you are still receiving this text message, please delete and reinstall the app.
Note: Be sure to check Robokiller regularly to stay on top of what calls the app is blocking.
Robokiller received a call but the app was uninstalled
If you’ve received a text message like this, it means that we detected that the app was uninstalled and could not connect the call through the app.
If you received this in error, please take the following steps:
- Delete Robokiller and reinstall the app.
- Log in and complete onboarding.
If you no longer wish to use Robokiller, please follow the instructions here to ensure that you have fully removed Robokiller from your phone.
